This past Sunday Night, at Abundant Life Fellowship, I was convicted by Pastor Matthew's teaching on the the Book of Joel, Chapter 3. That conviction was intensified by the Scripture in Second Corinthians 4:1-5. Looking at that passage, we see that we have a ministry...we received it through the mercy we received...we renounced the secret things that brought us shame...In this ministry we do not walk in craftiness, and we do not handle the Word of God deceitfully...But we express the Truth in truth...If our Gospel is hidden, it is hidden from those who are lost! They are lost, not by choice but, because the the god of this world (Satan, the ruler of darkness) has blinded the minds of those who don't believe...If their minds were not blinded, then the Light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ would shine on them and deliver them from the kingdom of darkness...Verse 5 says: "For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake."
WE DO NOT PREACH OURSELVES...Is that the reason we see so much carnality and darkness in the institution called church? Is there more preaching of ourselves: our plans, our agendas, our self exaltation, our own kingdom building; than the preaching of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ? See the enemy, Satan, knows that when the Kingdom of God is preached to every nation with demonstration the end will come. The end of this dispensation, this world and Satan's dominance. The passage referred to above calls him the god of this world. His future is being cast into the lake of fire and bound there for eternity never again able to affect the lives of people...Why wouldn't he blind the minds of people and why wouldn't we preach the Gospel of the Kingdom that brings his demise? Please, let's not allow ego, fleshly lusts or wrong motives keep us from fulfilling the ministry we received through mercy and if we cannot overcome those desires; let's please just quit and step aside so others can get to the destruction of the enemy of our souls... PLEASE!
This is my first venture into writing a blog...therefore, The Genesis...
